These terms cover your use of Ascension as a coach and as an athlete. They are written so that the boundaries of the software are clear before you rely on it — including the parts it deliberately does not decide for you.
Ascension is coaching software. A coach uses it to hold an athlete's biometrics, nutrition, training and check-ins in one place, and to review automated reasoning about that data. An athlete uses it to log their own training and nutrition, see their own progress, and talk to their coach.
Access is personal. A coach account is for one business; an athlete account is for one person, issued through an invite from their coach and bound to that coach's roster.
You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Because a password change revokes every session on the account, signing out everywhere is always available to you if you think a credential has leaked.
Do not share an account, or use one to store records for somebody who has not agreed to it. If you are a coach, you confirm you have your athlete's permission before you log biometric or health data about them.
RIS reads the data on file and suggests a change. A suggestion is exactly that: where a finding is flagged for a second opinion, it is held and writes nothing until a coach confirms it. Nothing in the console changes an athlete's plan without a person choosing to apply it.
The reasoning is only as good as the data behind it. Missed logs, a metric nobody recorded, and unrecorded medication all degrade it. It is decision support, not a clinician.
Ascension does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and nothing it shows is medical advice. Blood-marker values are presented for discussion with a qualified professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number — not this software or your coach.
Any protocol, calorie target, supplementation or training change remains the responsibility of the coach and athlete who agree to it.
Your records belong to you. What Ascension stores, where it is stored and how to get an export or a deletion is set out in the privacy policy.
Do not attempt to access another coach's roster or another athlete's record, probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission, or use it to store unlawful material. Sign-in and signup are rate limited; circumventing that is a breach of these terms.
Your records are held in a managed PostgreSQL database in the EU, with uploaded files in private object storage. Both are backed by the provider's own durability guarantees, and the processors involved are listed in the privacy policy.
Records belong to the account that entered them. Deleting a client from the roster removes their associated coaching records rather than hiding them, and closing an account removes the records with it once the request is confirmed.
Ascension charges no subscription. The fee is a share of the coaching revenue you record against each client, at the rate published on the pricing page for your revenue tier.
Taking the payment itself is not live yet. The checkout engine is built but no payment gateway is connected, so no card is charged and no invoice is raised on your behalf. Until that changes, you invoice your clients directly and record the revenue here; the fee is calculated from what you record. We will not backdate a charge for a period before collection went live, and the pricing page will say so plainly on the day it does.

If these terms change in a way that affects what you may do or what we store, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Continuing to use Ascension after that means you accept the updated terms.
The version you accepted is recorded against your account when you sign up, so there is a definite answer to which terms applied on a given date. Version: 2026-10-08.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be excluded. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law permits:
Physical training, dietary change and the use of any compound carry risk of injury or harm, including risk that no amount of data can remove. By using Ascension you accept that risk knowingly.
If you are an athlete: you are responsible for what you actually do, put in your body or withhold from it. A plan, dose or schedule shown here is a record of what your coach proposed — it is not a prescription, and it is not authorisation from a medical professional. Do not start, change or stop any prescribed medication or any injected substance on the basis of anything in this software, and never administer a substance that was not prescribed to you by someone qualified to prescribe it. Tell your coach and a clinician about any symptom that concerns you, rather than adjusting a plan yourself.
If you are a coach: you confirm that you have your athlete's consent to hold and process their health and performance data, that you will not direct a course of medical treatment, and that where your athlete's circumstances call for clinical judgement you will refer them to somebody qualified to give it.
Automated reasoning in this software reads the data on file and may be wrong about it — a missed log, an unrecorded medication or a stale reading changes the conclusion, and no output from it is a diagnosis or a substitute for a clinician.
Ascension holds special categories of personal data — blood markers, body composition, sleep, heart-rate variability and, where recorded, compound and injection history. Processing it requires your explicit consent, which is asked for separately from these terms and can be withdrawn at any time without ending your access to the rest of the service. What is processed, who else touches it and how to withdraw are set out in the privacy policy.
